The first house, the house of life (vita) represents the querent or the person that the divination is being performed for: their health, personality, goals, beauty, wealth, etc. This is why finding Rubeus or Cauda Draconis were bad to find in the first house: they were thought to represent dishonesty or unruliness on the part of the querent.

2nd

The second house, the house of riches (lucrum) represents wealth and the attainment/loss thereof, as well as any material object. Furthermore, it is also associated with messages, locating stolen things, and voyages.

3rd

The third house, the house of brothers (fratres) represents siblings, blood relations, and neighbors, as well as short journeys, the querant’s environment, messages, writing, truthfulness or news or rumors, and communication.

4th

The fourth house, the house of fathers (genitor) represents parents (specifically the father), inheritance from parents, retirement, land, agriculture, fortification, towns/cities, old things, hidden objects, and treasure. Furthermore, it represents the end of any matter.

5th

The fifth house, the house of sons (nati) represents children, promises, food and drink, pleasures, women, sex, gambling, and entertainment.

6th

The sixth house, the house of health (valetudo) represents illnesses, injuries, servants, employees, uncles, aunts, and small cattle (sheep, goats, and hogs).

7th

The seventh house, the house of the wife (uxor) represents marriage, love, husbands, wives, enemies, wars, lawsuits, competition, contracts, conflicts, public enemies, and thieves.

8th

The eighth house, the house of death (mors) represents death, wills, legacies, inheritances from anyone who isn’t the querent’s parents, suffering, fear, and poverty.

9th

The ninth house, the house of journeys (itineris) represents religion, science, art, divination, and long journeys.

10th

The tenth house, the house of kings (regnum) represents honour, fame, employment, positions of power, mothers, the weather, and politicians.

11th

The eleventh house, the house of good fortune (benefacta) represents friends, promises, hopes, wishes, and altruism.

12th

The twelfth house, the house of prison (carcer) represents imprisonment, restriction, hidden enemies, secrets, exile, traitors, debts, hospitals, misfortune, and large animals (beasts of burden, big cats, bears, and wolves).
